Start with Trust and with People Who Care
RestoreMax is the MOST TRUSTED name for Water Damage Restoration Services in South Florida.
When you need water damage
, sewage damage, and flood restoration done right and FAST
there is only one number to call 1-888-944-2228.
Once you've made the decision to call for help here is what you should expect.
1. Once you call RestoreMax's 24 hr Emergency Hotline at 1-888-944-2228 one of our highly trained dispatchers will ask you a series of questions about your specific situation. (i.e. name, contact information, property address, mailing address, if you live in town or out of town, what is the cause of loss, if the water has been stopped, when it happened, etc.) It is important that you answer every question as carefully and as complete as possible so the dispatcher can effectively assign a crew that is closest to you.
2. Once a crew is dispatched they will arrive at your door within one hour or less. If the crew is late we will void the emergency service fee. Our certified and highly trained professionals will explain the process that is specific to your situation, the estimated timelines, terms of our Service Agreement, and warranties. The explanation of our process includes RestoreMax's approach to estimates, which is some times may be requested by our customers. It will be up to the customer if he or she wants our company to take care of the problem first or to spend critical time estimating. We recommend taking care of the problem immediately since Water Damage emergency services is typically covered by Homeowner's Insurance and the final Invoice will be sent directly to your Insurance Company for payment.
"Where SPEED and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is our philosophy and number one priority."
Angelo Menezes - President
3. Once our Service Agreement is signed our professionals will be required to collect a small deposit, which in most cases will be equivalent to your Insurance Deductible on your Insurance Policy. RestoreMax accepts checks and credit cards for your deposit. Work begins immediately after the Service Agreement and deposit are out of the way. Our assigned professional may request a copy of your Insurance policy declaration page. If you haven't called a claim yet, don't worry. Our office can handle this for you.
4. The first step towards a successful restoration project is a thorough and detailed site inspection. Our highly trained professional will take extensive pictures of the property including affected and unaffected areas. Thermal image camera will be used to scan the areas and capture the extent of water damage
. These pictures will be provided to you as well as your insurance company.
5. After pictures are taken, water extraction will begin immediately with very powerful truck mounted water extraction equipment. In the mean time our highly trained
professional will draw a floor plan of the property, measure each room, kitchen cabinetry, vanities, etc while the water is being extracted. Moisture and Relative Humidity readings will be taken and recorded. All this will become part of your file, which will be provided to all parties involved.
6. Based on the room measurements (length, width, high), class and category of water damage
, the certified professional will calculate equipment needs (Air movers, Dehumidifiers, Air scrubbers, etc). Our technicians are trained and certified by the Instituted of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (ICRC) and they follow the Water Damage Restoration standard S-500. Our process is highly technical and based on mathematical formulas. There is no gut feeling about any of the work we do. You can not compare our process with that of most companies around the area.
7. After equipment needs have been determined based on mathematical formula, our trained professional will determine the need for a Pack Out/Move Out. In the event of water damage
, furniture blocks will be installed to raise your furniture from the wet flooring. In the event of mold, containment may be recommended. In the event of Fire, a Pack Out/Move Out is usually required. If your contents have been damaged, RestoreMax may inventory them and separate them for inspection by your Insurance Company. Restorable contents may be sent to a Content Restoration expert who will also bill your Insurance Company directly.
8. Length of dry outs will depend on many variables: a) Architectural layout of the property, b) Materials used in construction, c) Customer's willingness to accept contractors recommendations, d) Customer's ability to withstand noise and or discomfort caused by restoration equipment, etc. Provided that access to the property has been granted, our certified professional will be required to make one trip each day to the customer's property to take moisture readings, monitor, and record job progress. It is important for customers to understand that water damage
travels fast and the longer it takes to make a decision the higher the damage will be.
Once the emergency mitigation services are complete, RestoreMax will provide a copy of all relevant documentation to the customer and his or her Insurance Company along with a copy of our emergency invoice. When you sign our Service Agreement, you authorize your Insurance Company to pay directly for our service. However, there are companies that still insist to send the check to the policyholder's residence. If we don't receive payment within 15 days from the last day of service, our office will begin to follow up to find the whereabouts of our payment.
9. After the emergency mitigation process is complete, or sometimes even during mitigation services, RestoreMax will schedule to meet with your Insurance Adjuster on site to discuss your reconstruction requirements. After meeting with the adjuster and agreeing on a scope and price, RestoreMax may begin reconstruction (non-emergency) process. Reconstruction begins after your Insurance company issues your first settlement check and RestoreMax receive additional deposit with funds from your settlement. During this time, customers may discuss upgrade options to rebuilt their homes. RestoreMax can bring floor samples, cabinetry, paint samples to your residence so you can choose your options from the comfort of your home. Since your Insurance company will only pay for "EQUAL LIKE KIND" materials, upgrade options will cost extra. However, our highly trained professionals will work with you to make sure they leverage your settlement to the fullest before you come out of pocket.
If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to call one of our management staff to go over. They will be happy to discuss your needs as candidly as possible.
